If you are interested in becoming a member of Yahara House, start by calling us at 608-280-4700 or stop in at 802 E. Gorham St. between 8:30am and 4:30pm Monday-Friday. The process of becoming a member is as follows:

1. Take a tour of the program

2. Fill out an application

3. Attend orientation

4. Engage in department work and be part of the YH community

Looking to Schedule a Tour?

Tours typically take 15 to 30 minutes. They can be scheduled to start during these times:
Monday: 10:00 am - 12:00 pm OR 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Tuesday: 10:00 am - 12:00 pm OR 3:15 pm - 4:00 pm
Wednesday: 10:00 am - 12:00 pm OR 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Thursday: 11:00 am - 12:00 pm OR 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Friday: 10:00 am - 12:00 pm OR 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

We are not able to schedule tours outside of these times. Please call 608-280-4700 or email friendsofyaharahouse@gmail.com to schedule. Impromptu tours are welcomed but scheduling is preferred.

Tours allow people to look at the Clubhouse, ask questions, and get information to familiarize themselves with the place.

Anyone is able to take a tour! This includes prospective members, students or educational organizations, service providers, and members of the community.

Member Eligibility

Yahara House is open to adults (18+) with a history of mental illness. Membership is funded primarily through Dane County’s Comprehensive Community Services Program (CCS) and the Veterans Administration. Membership funding is also available through private pay sliding fee scale, or some commercial insurance agreements.
